Eating in: Dry Kolo Mee

I was home alone since Gan was at work and my folks were off to Singapore. After weeks of guilty pleasure, I decided to cook something light and hearty :P

I cooked myself dry kolo mee *yumz* These are what I used:

garlic and onion
olive oil
kolo mee
fish paste
lettuce
dash of oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce
pinch of pepper and sugar
  • Heat up the pan with olive oil. Then saute garlic and onion till brownish
  • Add in some water. Later, add in sliced fish paste and let it simmer
  • Few minutes later, add in all the sauces
  • Then put pepper and sugar into the pan
  • In another pot, boil water and cook the kolo mee for 2-3 minutes
  • Toss dry the noodle and serve it hot

*yumz* That's my hearty kolo mee from Kuching for lunch.

Fried Bean Sheet, RM4.20

Few days ago, we were in Kepong to fix Gan's car. Whilst waiting for it to be fixed, we had some snacks at the Shanghainese cafe next door.

We ordered the fried flat noodles. It was ok. But worth trying if you have not taste this before.

Sesame Rice Ball, RM4.50

We also had tong yuen. This tong yuen definitely served differently from other cafes. Each rice ball is covered with shredded coconut. Tasted pretty good too since it's chewy.

If you're ever in Kepong, remember to head to Min Huang Restaurant at Taman Perusahaan Kepong.
