Eating out: Canton-i

Canton-i is a Chinese eatery that specializes on wantan noodles and congee. Not exactly my type of cuisine, but dad was overly attracted by its roasted pork and BBQ pork. This Canton-i that we dined in is located opposite TGIF in 1Utama.

Turnip cake, RM6

This is pretty good. Unlike some other restaurants that the turnip cake came out solid hard. This is soft and tasted good.

Prawn rice roll, RM9.80

This chee cheong fun is good too. There are 4 little shrimps in each roll.

Vegetables, RM9

Just a normal plate of green. Nothing fancy about it.

Roasted pork belly, RM16.80

As you all know, I'm not a big fan of pork. And I don't find anything special about siew yok :P But what surprises me is that it's not served with vinegrate chili, instead, it comes with kai lat(chinese mustard) and sugar. Is that how you suppose to eat siew yok?

BBQ Pork, RM12.80

I find char siew worth more than siew yok. Based on quality and quantity wise ;) Though that, char siew is chopped thinly. It would be much better if its thicker.

Braised fish, RM26

Instead of garoupa that was written in the menu, it now uses "wan yu". It was really a messy job eating this boney fish in a restaurant. Luckily, it tasted good. There were black beans and rice wine in it.

If you'd like to try out, stick with its specialities: wantan noodles and congee. I think those are much better than ala carte dishes :D
