Eating out: Jaya Palace

Jaya Palace is newly opened Chinese restaurant located next to Federal Highway. You will definitely see this new building upon approaching Crystal Plaza.

This is the interior settings. There are over 20 tables in the main hall. Not to mention the rooms too. At one glance, this is a fancy restaurant.

Pan Fried Scallop, priced at RM20

Each of us had a plate to our own. It comes with accompanying sauce which is quite plain with shredded spring onion.

BBQ Roasted Pork, priced at RM18

Dad wanted to try their Char Siew and ordered a small portion. The char siew at Jalan Alor still tops the list. This char siew is a tad too sweet.

Grilled Eel, priced at RM60

The grilled eel is a let down. Not only it's tasteless, the eel is rather fat and boney. Remember not to order this when you're there.

Garoupa with tofu, priced at RM36

This is quite good. The combination of garoupa and tofu fah are rather odd, but they blended well together. It is quite refreshing to try something new. There were condiments like spring onion, chopped ginger and choi pou. I would recommend this if you like something simple.

We'll definitely come by again next time. They serve dim sums too. Be sure to check this place out. This place is quite pricey though, however, good for business luncheons.
