Pilates

I had my first Pilates class on Monday. It was really helpful. My instructor, Wai Yee, is a certified mat Pilates teacher. She has been teaching since September 2006. The first lesson was quite basic and it started off with breathing. Then, we moved on to simple stretching that concentrates on my tail bone, shoulder blades, hamstring and adductor muscles. It felt really good as it tackled those areas that are weak.

You can say that I fully utilize that one-hour session. For that, I woke up the next morning to an aching body. It shows that Pilates aimed on the right spot! It benefits me, but also for anyone who needs a good stretch that is precise to ones body.

The reason I started off with Pilates is because I have lumbar lordosis. It is common but not normal. I don't feel any pain nor does it bothers me. However, I do feel numbness at the back of my left leg once a while. My cousin sister is a certified Pilates teacher too. She has a studio in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Moreover, they have the best equipment in town *promoting* So, rather than going to yoga classes in gym that is usually full, I chose this quiet studio with personal attention.
