Honeymoon in Bali - Part I

We were there for 5 days from 25-29 November. We stayed at The Westin, Nusa Dua, hired a local guide to bring us around, had wonderful Balinese food and spent quality time together :)

This is our room at The Westin. The room is nicely decorated for honeymooners with chocolates, apples and flowers!

After checking out the room, we explored the nearby hotels. This is Laguna Resorts. This hotel has beautiful pools for guests to take a dip.

We thought of having lunch at The Laguna's Mayang Sari Restaurant, but it is only open for dinner. Nonetheless, we were served with complimentary tea time snacks. The peppermint tiramisu is lovely! In the end, it was a tad too late for lunch, haha.

On our first dinner in Bali, we eat out at the award-winning Balinese restaurant, Bumbu Bali. I found this restaurant on the internet before the trip. This is the authentic one compared to the one in Puchong, haha. This restaurant provides free pick-up service for diners staying in Nusa Dua area only.

Gan ordered the Sambal Udang, RM60. While I ordered the Ayam Betutu, RM35. It comes with 3 different types of rice, Nasi Kuning, steam rice and brown rice. Other than those, we ordered 2 drinks and dessert. The total came up to about RM150. The food was amazingly good, ambience was cozy and companion was lovely!

In the morning, we walked by the shore and enjoyed the morning breeze. Our tour won't start till noon. This is my second time to Bali and I forego Barong dance and Kachak performance this time. I have seen them and in my opinion, once is more than enough.

During lunch, we ate in the hotel. This is Ikan Restaurant and it's open from noon till late. Both of us had the Nasi Campur that has otak-otak, beef, chicken, prawn, vegetables and etc in it. This must be the most expensive meal we had. The total was close to RM300!

Our guide, Wayan, came to pick us from our hotel after lunch time. We headed to place like Uluwatu temple (seen here). It was really windy up at the cliff.

We walked further and our guide brought us to this amazing side of the area. Wind was stronger, view is pretty and the sound of the waves crashing the rocks was louder!

Later at night, we dined at Jimbaran. It was impossible to eat out by the beach because the wind was too strong at this time of the year. We had no choice but to sit inside the restaurant. We ordered a grilled fish in Balinese sauce and a sweet and sour prawn. We wanted but couldn't order more as there were only 2 of us. The total bill came up to about RM110.

Stay tune for Part II of the honeymoon :)
