Eating out: Casa Mila Club

The last time I dined at this place was a year ago when my aunt and cousins came back for holidays from The States. Mich and Tim simply loved the Kong Nam Prawns served at this restaurant. This is a halal eat-out and suits me perfectly!

Casa Mila Condominium is located at Bukit Idaman, near Selayang. This restaurant has been operating for over 10 years. Casa Mila is a gated and guarded area. So, you would need to hand over your driving license to get in.

The restaurant is situated exactly in the middle of Casa Mila compound. Once you found the pool, the restaurant is just next to it. The view is even better at night.

There are only 6 tables in it. If you're coming over on weekend, make sure you have the table reserved. It can be quite packed then.

Kong Nam Prawn, priced at RM66

We ordered 4 dishes including Kong Nam Prawn, Rojak Tofu, Thai style steam fish and a green veg. Kong Nam style is basically deep fried huge prawns in caramel. The aroma of the caramelized prawns is simply irresistible. You can taste the sugary taste in every bite. No wonder my cousins have to have this dish every time they come back for holidays.

Rojak tofu, priced at RM10

Rojak Tofu is another popular dish served. Beancurd is fried to golden brown, the shredded cucumber is fresh and the crushed groundnut is crunchy. The sauce is sweet and spicy. It is really appetizing as a starter.

Thai style steam fish, priced at RM35

This tastes exactly like clear tom yam soup. It feels like you're dining in a Thai restaurant the moment you sip the soup. Other than these, the restaurant also serves fried rice and noodles that are equally good.

Our bill came up to RM122 for 4 dishes and 3 rice. It is not exactly an economical fare but we gotta treat ourselves once awhile.
